I visited a relative of mine for dinner recently. I arrived while she was in the midst of preparing the food. She knew quite well what she was doing. She had all types of appliances to really reduce the amount of time she required to prepare her meal. I was very happy that I arrived early in order to catch all this.
One thing I did notice was a new pot she had. She said it was part of an anodized cookware set. I had never heard of such a thing. It has a nonstick surface and looked like a professional cookware set.
It was developed by hardening the aluminum to the point where it is even stronger than stainless steel. However, the nonstick surface will never chip or peel. So you can turn the heat up as high as you like and they will be fine.
In other words, no matter what you’re cooking, it won’t stick to the surface. At the same time, cleaning is a breeze without worrying about damaging the surfaces because they are resistant to scrubs and any rough materials.
I had never seen anyone work the way this woman did. As soon as her meal preparation was done, her kitchen was spotless in no time. Everything was put away in its right place, some things in the drawers while some things in the dishwasher. Looking at her spotles kitchen, you would have never guessed that she just cooked an entire meal a short while back.
In minutes her counter tops were sparkling and she quickly pulled out her Dyson upright vacuum cleaner to vacuum any crumbs or other food items that may have fallen on the floor. This was another item that I was not familiar with. But within moments she had finished vacuuming the entire room, without even having to move any of the chairs or the table. She just quickly and easily yet very effectively went around all the legs without ever lifting that vacuum off the floor.
As we waited for our dinner to cook, we poured a glass of wine and sat on her three season porch. As it was kind of chilly, she turned on her portable space heater. Within a short while, the room was toasty warm and comfortable. It is not only was she saving money without cranking out her central heating system, she found comfort in a way that is not hard on the environment.
