Tips To Get Benefits From The Features Of Facebook Daily

by ralphg on July 14, 2010

Yes, it’s possible to enjoy all the features of Facebook without a meltdown. Help is offered on the menu. It’s easier to explore by clicking on all the headings and titles.

Your profile is you. You have complete control over just how detailed your personal information is when posted. You can select a picture of yourself or you can use a graphic.

You can browse Causes that you support and post them to your page. You can share Causes that you are passionate about with friends. I have added all my favorite Causes and even created a local Cause to share with my friends here at home and those that have moved or gone off to college.

You can post your family vacation, wedding pictures, or baby albums to your page. You get to name the album, decide which pictures to put in the album, and pick who gets to see the album. You will be able to create an album cover, tag people by name in each photo, and you can organize it. If you post it to your page it will show up in the “news feed” and “live feed” where it can be shared by others.

I have videos posted that show my son issuing Halloween greetings, carving his pumpkins, and showing off his costume. I have also posted videos from news sites about current issues to the top of my page. I have noticed videos that made me laugh on the live feed or news feed and simply hit the “share” button and they are instantly posted to the top of my page.

Rather than just play games, you can own a restaurant, live in the country, build a theme park or live in a different time. What’s really cool is that you will nearly always need “neighbors” and you get them by inviting your friends. I am growing crops on three farms. Yesterday I added a new barn and some beautiful streams. My daughter has joined the mafia and has created her own roller coaster theme park.

The public comment area is instant. It can be funny, serious, or somewhere in between. For the private chit chat you go to message mode and send info back and forth confidentially. Think of this area as a private chamber where no conversations can be overheard. It’s the perfect spot for updates on ongoing projects or shared concerns. You will see a notice when you log in if you have messages waiting. Plus, you can have notifications sent to your email or phone.

Today my Mom sent me a hug and that went with the smiles, hearts, and Christmas cheer I received. I got to decide if I wanted to also click on a button to publish those wonderful electronic endearments to my page. Fasten your seat belt because you about to have a lot of fun without spending a dime or using the gas in your car. Good luck with getting any sleep now.
